Built on a simple but powerful idea
AIICAS — AI Innovation Center AS — began with a conviction: existing medicines may already hold the answers to diseases we haven’t solved yet. We just haven’t had the tools to see it.
So we developed a decision engine that uses artificial intelligence to analyze large, complex datasets and identify patterns, causal relationships, and biological signals that humans alone would struggle to detect — to find new treatment strategies by looking at existing knowledge in a fundamentally different way.
“Parkinson’s is where we started. It won’t be where we stop.”
Our mission
To use artificial intelligence to help people and organisations understand complex problems and make better decisions — so that disease is detected earlier, treatment is more precise, and researchers have a stronger basis for the choices they make.
Where we started — and where we’re going
Our first discovery put the idea to the test. By analyzing national health data and scientific literature, AIICAS identified several drugs and biological signals potentially linked to reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease — developed with access to expertise at the University of Bergen.
Millions of people live with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases, and despite decades of research none can yet be stopped from progressing. We don’t claim to have solved them — but we’ve built a way to understand them differently, letting data, biology, and AI reveal mechanisms and treatment strategies that are hard to see by traditional means.
Our findings carry no guarantee. Research never does. We don’t promise a cure — but we promise to follow the signals wherever they lead. Parkinson’s is where we started. It won’t be where we stop.
We look for the why
Most tools stop at correlation. We try to understand the biological mechanism behind a pattern.
Data, biology & AI together
National health data, scientific literature, and laboratory experiments, analysed as one.
Proven in the real world
Demonstrated through research projects, including Parkinson’s, and biological validation in the lab.
Built with the research community
Developed with access to expertise at the University of Bergen and other research environments.
Scientific rigour
Every candidate we surface is backed by traceable, evidence-based reasoning — not guesswork.
Patient focus
Our work is ultimately about reaching patients faster with treatments that are already proven safe.
Openness
We believe in building partnerships — with researchers, clinicians, and institutions who share our goals.
Responsibility
We take the validation of every finding seriously — accuracy matters when the stakes are medical.
The people behind AIICAS
AIICAS brings together expertise in life sciences, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and business development — united by a shared mission.

We follow the signals where they lead
This is not a shortcut. It is a smarter route — one that respects the decades of research already invested in proven medicines and asks a better question: what else might this help?
We’re at the beginning of that journey: focused, curious, and serious about getting the science right. If you share that orientation — as a researcher, a clinician, or a partner — we’d like to hear from you.
